MDG Services is committed to conducting all its activities – including the setting up and management of businesses, as well as administrative, tax and legal assistance – in strict compliance with Malagasy laws (in particular Law No. 2016-020) and international laws relating to the fight against corruption and influence peddling.
This policy applies to all MDG Services staff, its directors, as well as its partners and clients. It also governs all interactions with public sector officials with whom MDG Services' teams are required to collaborate.
MDG Services has a zero-tolerance policy towards gifts or invitations that could influence, or give the impression of influencing, a business decision or an administrative procedure.
No employee must offer, solicit or accept a gift, invitation or benefit (financial or in kind) from a client, partner or public official if this goes beyond the bounds of simple professional courtesy.
Any employee who observes or suspects an act of corruption, whether internally or externally through interactions with public administration officials, must report it in complete confidence to Management. No retaliatory measures will be taken against a whistleblower acting in good faith.
Management reserves the right to refer the report to the anti-corruption authority in Madagascar.
Failure to comply with this anti-corruption policy exposes those responsible to severe sanctions, both professionally and legally, in accordance with the Malagasy laws in force (in particular the Criminal Code and Law No. 2016-020 on the fight against corruption).
If a public official holds up a case with the aim of obtaining an unlawful payment or an undue advantage, MDG Services will immediately suspend the administrative procedure in question. The incident will then be recorded internally and reported by management to the relevant anti-corruption authorities, in order to protect the company, its staff and its clients.
